Another Chest of Drawer Transformation

My roses are just blooming this week and I couldn’t resist showing you some more. I think our soil must be very good as these roses arn’t even showing sign of disease. I desperately need to plant some more so looks like its back to Big W for the $8 bare rooted roses.  Yes thats right these roses were only $8 each and they have grown mad in six weeks. No need to plant the expensive $25 ones when you can have roses like these in not time at all. I actually think roses are the easiest plants to grow. I eventually plan to do my whole front garden in them.

These drawers as you can see from the before shot were pink green and silver. Good thing about that is I knew the pink would come through once I sanded them. They will be perfect in a little girls room with lots of pink accessories.

Well thats all for me I am off with the kids on a much needed break. We are heading up north to enjoy some sunshine. Lots of bike riding, some beach walks and maybe the odd bit of thrifting. Have a great week and thanks for all your lovely comments on my previous posts.

Can't beat $8 Big W bare rooted roses. I remember buying from Big W about 30+ standard and bush roses for our last house and they looked wonderful. They must have a great supplier.

Hi…I'm new to your blog which is eye candy. Great posts.

Lovely roses. Are they fragrant too? The chest is painted beautifully. You do a great job distressing your furniture. I've seen some folks go overboard with the distressing.
