Bedroom Floors Get Painted Too

After

Yes I did the bedroom yesterday as well.

Before

I was so pleased with the lounge rooms floors that I could not wait to get stuck into our bedroom, plus I have had no kids for a week so this has helped with doing these sort of projects. I used a concrete paint. This is an aqua tread paint with a superior hard wearing satin finish. Honestly its like walking on a piece of satin it feels that clean and soft. That’s if you can imagine concrete feeling soft. It feels like when you just shave your legs and apply a lovely moisturiser. I guess only time will tell if this is going to be easy to maintain but for now it was a cheap alternative for a fantastic look and who really cares – I love the look and thats all that matters.

You put me to shame with your efficiency! We are still painting our lounge room and it's coming up to week 3!! I would be interested to hear how your floors wear, so please post about that in a few weeks time.

I've just been out and about and the heat has rendered me completely lethargic…where do you get your energy from in this weather Sandy?!?!?!
Looks fantastic. The kids are in for a lovely surprise. They'll probably think it's okay to ride their bikes/skateboards in the house now, it is concrete after all ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am loving this look…did you find any cracks in the concrete, and if so did you have to caulk and seal?

The floors look fabulous. You are one busy lady. You must be exhausted. Having no kids around makes it easier too.

You don't waste anytime. Do you find any time to sleep? It looks great. Was the concrete polished already? It looks so smooth. What a great idea, and so easy to look after.

    Hi Sandy,

thanks for your nice comment on my blog.

Showed my husband your pictures of the lounge floor and he also was amazed.

Asked then many things about the colour you might have used – thanks for the explanation.

Finally he wondered about how long the colour would maintain in that bright white and gave a lovely answer by himself: If it doesnยดt look "new" any more it will change into a shabby look by itself ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Greetings
