The rains are here

I have never prayed for rain but these last few weeks I think everyone in South East Queensland has done so. Last night we heard it and down it came. We were on the verge of having to buy water and thats not a nice feeling from someone who has always lived on town water. Maybe not enough to fill the tanks but at least the garden was watered and the air was cleaned. We are expecting more today so bring it on we say.

What a wonderful day. The good Lord also sent much needed rains to south Texas. I opened the door to my office just to watch it come down. I bet the gardens are happy!

I sincerely enjoy your beautiful photos. They are sweet and inspiring.

How gorgeous was that rain last night? Everything this morning is so fresh and clean and the gardens here are, at last, smiling after such a long time. 'Keep it coming', I say!

For once I didn't mind that I couldn't drop straight off to sleep…just wanted to lie there and listen to the rain, just wish we had a tin roof!
Love how that guy in the pic has his priorities right…"I might get wet, but not my precious cello"
    Enjoy your day Sandy.

I understand completely. Here in Texas we often have to pray for rain. When it comes and stays we hate to ever complain even when we are floating because we remember those times of drought so well.

    Hi Sandy,
I am so glad it has finally rained up your way. I was bought up on a farm with only tank water, so I know only too well what it is like. I only remember my parents buying water once & thank goodness I was only little, because I had to have a bath in the laundry tub because it didn't need as much water as the bath.
