Gold Coast Australia - My name is Sandy and I have a passion for upcycling old furniture. I am a collector a treasure hunter and see the beauty in what pieces can be rather than what they currently are. I love beautiful things shabby, rustic, beachy, french and anything that is recycled. I hardly ever buy new and with some paint and imagination I transform time worn pieces. You can check out my furniture at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre in Brisbane. Drop me a comment I would love to hear from you.
This morning when I woke up and heard this loud noise I looked out my bedroom window and saw this amazing hot air balloon hovering over my sisters house. For those of you that don't know we currently live next door to my older sister (great when you need a baby sitter). The landing was obviously not planned this way and landed in another neighbours front yard. Not every day you have one of these for a morning visit.
hi sandy...how awesome!! probably also a bit of a shock.. at least it all landed safely.. If i ever get up early enough (cough cough)..I see them over melbourne all the time...and ONE once landed right opposite our house as well.. exciting!! BUT i would be too scared to go up in one..(unlike our brave ALISON GIBBS!!
catching up on your other posts..love the cabinet in last post..
Ainsley Pavey featured Paint Me White in the Courier Mail on Saturday 7th May. The Top 5 Latest Interior Design Styles. I was interviewed about my shabby chic painting style and where it was headed and how this style of decorating has stood the test of time.

That is a bit unusual. As I read you post, Wizard of Oz came to mind! ha! Maybe it's a new "green" mode of communiting..no?
So nice you have your Sister so close!

Hi Sandi....Whoa! Now that would be surprising to see out your bedroom window so early in the morning!

Hi Sandy, what a shock that would be! That would be a fun sight, but probably a little scary for your sister's neighbors.
Hugs,
June
What a wonderful way to wake up.
