On the weekend I finally got to set up my new (old) Farmhouse dining table. Buying and selling furniture over the years I have had many tables come and go but this table is a keeper for sure.
Original old boards with rusty nails it just can’t get any better.
My six rattan chairs fit perfectly.

That table is great. I'm not sure about it with the chairs though.
I wanted to ask if you know how to get a brownish effect on painted items. The blue box on your table would be a good example. It has brown along the edges as if whethered. Is that the natural colour of the wood underneath sanded back, or can you rub something on the paint to get that effect?
