Some Finds

Another busy week down completing  lots of private painting jobs so was nice to find a bit of time to do some thrifting. Picked up some lovely pieces which I will show you next week.  Here are some of the smaller things old basket, some awesome large Industrial twine and my surface flotation buoy.

Sweet little blue coffee table I painted up with lovely chunky legs.

And my ceramic whippet, thought he had such a concerned face.

Before

Chest of Drawers & A Painted Armoire

I finished this chest of eights drawers today in a classic antique white. Added castors to give them more height, numbers for some fun and new antique style bronze pulls.

Picked up another Armoire that I decided to paint white.
I have removed the glass door which surprisingly can be easily put back on if required. I quite like the open look for displaying beautiful eiderdowns or linen.
This Armoire has two drawers, a hanging rod and an extra shelf added for more storage.

Would have loved to taken this one up to the house to make it all pretty for this post but it was raining late this afternoon so this shot is going to have to do.

The Armoire and drawers will both be available at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre tomorrow afternoon.

School House Blackboard

First game of the Junior AFL Season today so we were up early and now have the rest of the day to potter around the house. Or should I say clean the house.
 I set up this little photo shoot this morning with some of my recent finds.
I have been wanting an old school house blackboard for a long time and when I saw this I almost dived on it.
I didn't have the heart to remove the writing and can't really make sense of what it all says but thought it looked unreal as it was.

Picked up this awesome large jar with woven cane on the outside. 

A matching pair of bentwood stools with rattan seats, look like they have never been used. 

Paige was helping me rearrange some of the pieces. 

 

 

 

 

 

Lovely little silver trinket box.

 

The white hall table was given a new top and a fresh coat of white paint.
