Gold Coast Australia - My name is Sandy and I am a decorative painter. I have a passion for upcycling old furniture. I am a collector a treasure hunter and see the beauty in what pieces can be rather than what they currently are. I love beautiful things shabby, rustic, beachy, french and anything that is recycled. I hardly ever buy new and with some paint and imagination I transform time worn pieces. You can check out my furniture at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre in Brisbane. Or if your interested in having your own furniture painted then drop me an email I would love to hear from you.
Had a lovely 3 day break in Noosa. Always good to recharge the batteries, spend time with the ones you love and seek inspiration and fresh ideas.
With lots of pieces selling over the weekend it was back into the painting today.
First up is this lovely wicker and timber sideboard. Has a great coastal feel or dress it up with these beautiful Blue and White Ginger Jar Style Lamps - Love them.
The sideboard has lovely floral detail in the timber and two drawers with crystal knobs.
Lamps are 64cm high made from porcelain and have a lovely dark timber base and come with a lovely white silk shade. Available to purchase by emailing me here.
I also have a slightly smaller style that are just as beautiful.
Ralph Lauren have similar lamps see the link below retailing for around $1600 I don't think so at that price.
Sweet Vintage dresser I have finished painting today. Gorgeous shade of blue with white and timber undertones.
Original handles I thought suited the blue so were put back on.
Hope your all having a good week, wish this rain would go away.
If anyone is looking for an awesome king size bed button back headboard contact me here. I have one in original condition that would look amazing re-upholstered.
I'm a sucker for turned legs on furniture. They have so much character and look amazing painted white and heavily distressed.
This sweet little desk came up gorgeous, teamed up with a wrought iron scrolly vintage chair.
This mirror is one of a matching pair I have just finished painting for a lovely client of mine. Erica had a matching pair of these beauties and had the vision already of how she wanted the final look. French grey with white trim on the sides and applique. Oh I could have easily keep these.
Blue and white so fresh this jug and bowl was a recent find.
Jug and Bowl, desk and chair all available at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre.
Ainsley Pavey featured Paint Me White in the Courier Mail on Saturday 7th May. The Top 5 Latest Interior Design Styles. I was interviewed about my shabby chic painting style and where it was headed and how this style of decorating has stood the test of time.
