Giveaway Winner and Dining Table

Congratulations to: Ange from A Cream Cottage your lucky number seven and the winner of my sweet little french grey side table.
Please contact me to arrange pickup.

Images of my latest dress form and some new find including the map of Queensland, vintage suitcase and some sweet boxes.

I have received a few emails from local followers wanting specific furniture. Please use the email link on the left hand side to contact me as sometimes your comments don't leave a return email address.
I received a comment yesterday from a customer wanting info on the dining suite I'm doing.  Contact me here and I can email you all the details.  Was hoping to bring you the finished dining suite today but its still raining here.

Friday Finds

If your a local Queenslander I'm sure your all shocked at the amount of rain we have received these last few days. 21 inches of rain within six days and still pouring down. Local low lying roads have flooded which made it impossible for my kids to get to school. I hope we see a break in the rain soon.

Now onto some pretty things.
A little white table of mine got a makeover through the week

Some gorgeous white ironstone.

I have started a small collection of vintage clocks and found another white one today.

A sweet little white cane basket.

Sadly this peacock chair is not mine I am going to be painting this white for a friend of mine.

These roses were soaked from the rain but made it into the house late today.

I have lots of new pieces almost finished and ready to share including a gorgeous dining table and six chairs.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Desk Makeover

One item of furniture that I get loads of requests for would have to be office desks. A desk depending on your required size should always be deep enough to accommodate your computer, printer and of course all your stationary. At least one drawer or many drawers to hold all your paperwork.
This is a great shaped desk with lots of curves.

A vintage dressform I picked up last week, boy are these getting hard to find. This one definetly got my heart racing.

A gorgeous crown sitting on top of an old chippy pigeon hole crate.

This desk has sold already and is off to its new home today.

My latest fan.

Flashback 2011 and a Giveaway

When you look back on all the pieces I have made over through the year it really is quite exhausting, but loads of fun. Here is just a snippet of a few of my favorite pieces.

Just got back from a lovely few days away and now have lots to do around the house. I am giving my white floors a fresh coat of paint today and will bring you some new makeovers very soon.

I am celebrating one year of having my shops space at the Antique Centre and would like to giveaway this cute little side table to one lucky blogger that has followed be through the year. Only local Queensland or nearby NSW residents would be eligible to enter as the item would need to be collected. But thank you to all my overseas and interstate followers that have continued to read my blog.

Now all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what inspires you. It's no surprise that I am inspired by furniture but I am also inspired through the people I meet.

People like Fiona from http://lilyfieldlife.blogspot.com I met Fiona through blogging as we shared the same interest in painted furniture. Now we talk regularly and are inspired by each other.
Fiona drove up from Sydney with her two children so we took some time out yesterday for a coffee.

Winner will be drawn next week.
