Gold Coast Australia - My name is Sandy and I am a decorative painter. I have a passion for upcycling old furniture. I am a collector a treasure hunter and see the beauty in what pieces can be rather than what they currently are. I love beautiful things shabby, rustic, beachy, french and anything that is recycled. I hardly ever buy new and with some paint and imagination I transform time worn pieces. You can check out my furniture at the Woolloongabba Antique Centre in Brisbane. Or if your interested in having your own furniture painted then drop me an email I would love to hear from you.
This vintage dresser has turned out very coastal with pops of white and the natural timber showing through.
I originally painted it white but it just didn't seem to do the piece justice so yesterday it came to life.

I usually prefer white to most colors--but you are right --it has so much more interest this way. It looks so beachy--love it!
Gorgeous, you do such an amazing job. Live the distressed aqua colour more than the white. It tells a different story now.
Love the color on this beautiful piece. And I love the lamps, too!
So cute and I love those lamps too!
I think the new color gave it just the touch it needed. It's a great piece I like seeing the wood showing through.
Sandy this is so beautiful. How I wish it was sitting in MY house!

Gorgeous and very beachy! I'm painting my huge armoire tomorrow! Nothing like leaving it till the sat invite before the photo shoot!
