I picked these drawers up from a recent auction, they were completely covered in mud and were very unattractive. I guess that’s why I was the only bidder.
But they are totally lovely now and would make a great piece for any bedroom.
I had a hard time getting to the beautiful timber on top, the paint was literally baked on.
The end result was worth the hard work.
Some new hardware and they are ready to go.
The beautiful ornate frame was part of an old screen. I removed the insert and turned it into a chalkboard.
