Dining Table Makeover

With a break in the weather and the sun deciding to shine on Queensland yesterday  I was painting from morning till late trying to get pieces finished.
Dining table and six chairs all done. The table has been painted in milk paint and white washed on top. I am so pleased with the final look I could have kept this setting.

The six chairs have a beautiful twisted timber design and the seat pads I have covered in linen.

Table and Chairs have SOLD already.

Could you explain a bit more about the process? (Found this table through Pinterest) and would love to know what kind/ colour of milk paint you used and what it means to white wash it after. Thanks for the help.
