Wardrobe Makeover

I quickly took these images before this wardrobe was loaded up ready to take to my shop space.
I answered an add in the local paper a few months ago as the lady was giving away this beautiful wardrobe. Sadly by the time I called the the wardrobe had already been claimed. But a few weeks later I received a call to say the person never turned up and the wardrobe was all mine.

There were originally mirrors on the doors but due to its age you could hardly see out of them. So I removed them and replaced with chicken wire.
The wardrobe has been painted white with a blue trim.

I wanted it to look beachy but added the wreath applique to dress it up.

Oh you've done a fantastic job. The blue just frames it perfectly & the chicken wire looks great. Who on earth would let that find go & not pick it up, their loss!! Love Posie

Muito bonito, os seus moveis e os seus ambientes, me serve como inspiração para a minha casinha de boneca.

Great find…I thought living here in England that there would be lots of old wardrobes…but any that I've come across are pretty pricey and usually prized polished woods. So as I refuse to buy the Ikea rubbish (which cost a bomb), we're stuck with clothes racks..(they are not into built in robes here)! Robx

That is a lovely old piece and your paint treatment totally makes it. Love the two tones together.

Hi! This is a very fine makeover indeed, it looks excellent. Your shop space is great too, you've got a lot in there and it all looks so good, I bet you (almost) don't want to break up the display when you sell something! Pete.
