Original Old Meat Safe

When you spend hours getting your furniture makeovers to look worn and chippy its great to find a piece already aged to perfection. All this piece needed was a good clean and it was ready to go.  Painting it to me would just seem to be defeating the shabby chic purpose.

Slip covered wing chair.

I like to mix a more modern lamp with old pieces.

Love that meat locker – love the mesh screen, and I'd say the finish is perfect, you know how hard it is to get it to look authentically naturally distressed.

Great find – sooooo, you've been pretty lucky lately out in the junk market, you must be having a blast.

Love your old piece! I love it too when I find something that doesn't need a thing. Your idea of a modern lamp with old is just perfect and gives a sleek look.

    Hello Sandy

Who could have thought that an old meat safe could look this good – and in a living room.

Your eye for the right accessories gives it that final something. I wish you were not so far away because I have just the place for this beauty.

Absolutely Love It! Soooo jealous! That's a terrific find and you're right it's just perfect as you found it. I work hard to get things to look like that, but you just can't imitate what nature does so beautifully on it's own. Thanks!
