Thankyou for all your lovely comments on my french armoire in the previous post. There were quite a few offers to purchase it but I have decided to keep it for a few weeks anyway.
I picked up this lovely detailed french looking half table this morning and yes I have made it over already. I have painted all the detailed bottom section and stained the beautiful timber on top.
Now just another piece I am going to have trouble parting with.

What a transformation: you have done a beautiful job. The carved decoration has so much more life and prominence now and I just love the colour. It would fit perfectly into my house - but I think the transport costs would be prohibitive.
