Birdcages

Hope you all had a lovely Mothers Day. Mine started out early at the markets followed by a beautiful lunch at Sea World with my family.
I found these lovely metal bird cages which didn’t stay brown for too long and today they got a lovely coat of shiny white paint.  There is just something about bird cages don’t you think? They make a gorgeous display in the home.

Lots of ornate frames made into blackboards will be available to purchase in my shop space later in the week.

This lovely antique lamp table is one piece that hasn’t been painted yet, I do like to mix lovely natural timber pieces in with my whites.

I also treated myself to some very special finds last week. You know the piece that only comes along once in your life. I cannot wait to share them with you – they sparkle every so beautiful.

Oh they look so much better white. Did you spray them white or paint by hand? Bird cages are almost a staple now for decorating. Fiona

Sandy- I love the cages painted white. I have a big one in my garage waiting for a coat of paint but need to wait until it is warm enough to get outside and do it. I actually like the little lamp table in the stained state it is in. I think it makes your accessories pop. Hugs-Diana

Oh how I love your blog I am now more determind to paint my furniture white. Aj (19) son hates painted timber, he's a maker of nice wooden things when he has time and has told me I can't paint the bookshelves, chairs or table but inspired by you I'm buying white paint on the weekend and away I go.Thank you for your lovely blog.

I love bird cages as long as they're bird-free. The thought of them being imprisoned bothers me. Yep, yours definitely look a lot lovelier painted white.

I love your birdcages and what a difference in white – they look so much prettier. I love them on the wood table – it's a lovely one and sometimes a bit of wood does help "ground" all the paleness of white 🙂
