Shelf Makeover

The sun actually came out today and so did my paint brush. I picked up a gorgeous find just before Christmas which I am currently working on and cannot wait to show you all real soon. For now you will have to settle for this cute little shelf.  Handy little pieces like this can be used anywhere in the home. I have painted this in a lovely blue and destressed for a beachy look.

So pleased that the sun came out at your place Sandy – same here! Somehow the world seems a much nicer place when the sun is shining. Love your little shelves – the colour is gorgeous. ;)Sharyne

What a huge improvement. I'm still at the white paint stage though. I can't take the leap into colour – yet.

    Sandy,
Every single piece you make-over is over the top beautiful. You have my heart in your paint brush I'm sure of it now.
I have commented once or twice, but I just told my hubby that we must be sister's in our past life or something. If you could see my colours and what I do with old pieces of junk, well let's just say you and I have a lot in common. One problem, I have a small cottage by the river in Canada, and you have a big house on the coast of Australia. Do you think we'll ever meet? Never say never.
Happy New Year dear Nancy. I feel like I've known you for a while now, you don't know me. Sorry about that.
    Love Claudie from Canada.

Love this project – what color blue did you use? Did you use a glaze over it or just sandpaper? Thank you! Maureen (mb99999@yahoo.com)
