Painted Drawers

I have had these cute pine drawers for a few months now and I did try and live with them all timber and natural but yesterday it got the better of me and I painted them white.  They go nicely in my bedroom with the new black board I have just made over sitting on top.

A new top I purchased to maybe wear Christmas Day.

Those drawers are so much better painted, you helped me decide about whether to paint or not to paint.
    Love that top!

As an avid lover of all things white, I love this. I leave a few things in their natural state, but only if I'm desperate – read – a bit over painting. Your drawers are beautiful. Oh dear! Imagine if I'd said that 100 years ago. Let's rephrase, the white paint has transformed your piece of furniture.

Sandy I love the dresser painted white – and you did the perfect amount of distressing. Enough to make it look like the drawers have been opened and closed a million times. I love it.

The top is beautiful – perfect with white jeans…

Your new top for Christmas is just gorgeous!

I much prefer the drawers white too, so much 'softer' in appearance and it accentuates the lines of the piece I think. I like that blackboard too – you've got me thinking about where I could put one in our NZ cottage, we're off over there for a month on 27/12 – can't wait to get a paint brush in my hands! Apartment living (rental) here in Sydney has it's advantages but I do love getting to the cottage and 'getting dirty' 🙂
