Friday’s Finds

With all the rain we had been getting in Queensland lately my thrifting seemed to be non existent. Then I stumbled across these shabby beauties. I was looking at some very similar chairs in a retail store this week all done in a lovely white wash and upholstered in a gorgeous linen, they were $300 per chair.  I love these just as they are but can also see a french makeover happening.  Actually I got many pieces yesterday that made me smile, I will share them over the weekend. Hope you all have a great one.

Linda, WOW!! What an incredible find! Just your style too! I can't wait to see them painted. The fabric is so perfect!

For painting a cabinet……do you use a primer first or do you just sand the piece really well and then paint? I have a small light oak humidor that is just screaming to be painted white! It will look perfect in my shabby bedroom as a night stand. Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

Hard to believe you found those beauties thrifting! They are gorgeous just as they are…even before a make-over. It would be hard for me to re-do them, I think…being that they are so lovely this way. Of course, I can see them all shabby white too…sigh…what a find! Diana

I love the chairs. This is the type of chair I have been searching for to put in my dining room. I only wish you weren't across the ocean. If the chairs were for sale i would be the first at your door step.

Sandy they are just magic and I love the fabric. Is it in good nick because they would be rather nice painted that lovely French grey that seems to have a pink overtone!

I am such a sucker for anything with rose on it!
