A thankyou and some Lamps

I want to thankyou all for your lovely comments on my new blog name and new look. A special thankyou to Katrina Chambers for her design work – what a woman. I was so fortunate to win this giveaway and I am thrilled with the end result – thanks Katrina.
Have given the paint brush a rest this week and have been busy making some lamp orders. These will saldy go to a new home tomorrow but haven’t they turned out lovely and feminine.
If you recognise the drawers that these lamps are sitting on you will notice that I have started their shabby transformation I kinda like them all chippy and beat up and may just leave them as is. I will reveal their current look in a post tomorrow.

Sandy how pretty these lamps are. Do you sew them or do you use the double sided tape that so many use.

I have a "thing" for old lamps..in fact, I need to stop buying them, have too many! My favorite is a 28" alabaster lamp I found at a flea market in perfect condition, not one chip, still had it's finial – being sold by a younger girl getting rid of grandma's stuff – FIVE DOLLARS! Sad to say, she had no idea, but I took it and ran!
Really, though, I like the more unusual lamps, and the whole shabby chic trend has made those alabaster lamps very common. Still, it's beautiful and for that price, what a steal!
