A New Deck

A new outdoor deck.
Actually its just another lovely space for me to decorate.

Before
Our outdoor pergola area was in need of a makeover and what better way to utilise such a great space than to build a deck. Lucky for me my handy husband had the same vision and could see the potential in decking this area. What started out as quite a small job turned into quite a big one as we took the deck right out to our bedroom which is at the side of the house . He is almost finished and I cannot wait to decorate this area with useful furniture nice shutters and maybe even a daybed.
We are surrounded by trees and bush which makes it a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the outdoors. I have noticed there are some other bloggers doing the same thing and tossing up what sort of outdoor curtains to use - I can see some lovely rattan shutters being used here.

You will have to pop back when its all finished.
Love your work.

Love that deck! We here struggle with deck envy since we don't have one front or back on our Queenslander! ;-) Can't wait to see what you do with the space! It will be great to sit out there in summer or even winter with one of those outdoor heaters.

The deck is starting to look great. I can't wait to see how you decorate it. I know we enjoy being outside so much more now that we installed the deck off the kitchen.

Looking good. Can't wait to see the final result. We have an outdoor entertaining area, but we are getting a deck put on the side of our house (builder booked for September) which will be fairly low to the ground like yours. I will also be looking for furniture etc so look forward to seeing your choices. Michelle

Love the deck Sandy! We'll be moving soon and we're looking forward to spending time on a deck very similar to this...opening endlessly onto our garden 'to be' :)
Looking forward to seeing the end result!
