Set out early to do some junk'n as the weather today is really hot. Got myself some lovely things but my favourite is this yummy basket. The little stools were a bargain as the current seating pad is easily removed to make way for some lovely barkcoth which i have been saving. Lovely little timber table with turned legs, cheval mirror, chair, towel rail and the standard lamp base was a good find as i have the perfect shade for that. All in all a great day, think i will be off for a quick dip in the pool. Lucky for me my sister lives next door so the pool is very handy.

I got this extra long piano stool a few weeks ago for a bargain price so of course it had to be painted white and sanded. Will come in handy i think at the end of the bed jam packed with all my lovely magazines.
Congratulations Cathy Penton. Cathy is a local Queensland Designer who has her sweet home pictured in the March Country Style Magazine. Grab your copy as its a fantastic issue. For those overseas bloggers took some lovely pics for you to look at.
Picked up this cute little stool at the markets recently which was all covered in a revolting green velvet. What a transformation with Tanya Whelan's lovely ava rose fabric. Think this stool will be handy to put the feet up on.

I have not really done any sewing for at least six months. But today i had a project that I really wanted to do. I purchased these french t-towels earlier in the week and knew they would come up great as cushions. They are a lovely linen with a red stripe and if my sewing machine lets me be creative I am going to embroid some initials on them.

I just love Hydranges and when I was out and about on Sunday I could not resist the side of the road flower stand. I cannot grow hydranges in Qld as its far too hot, although just up on Mount Tamborine where the weather is about 7 degrees cooler and the soil is so red these lovely plants grow like weeds.

I regulary change my dining table probably every six months. I had an old farm table and rattan chairs until last week but thats out in the shed to make way for this gorgeous find. Yes I actually found this 7 piece at the op shop and the table is even extendable. Not sure of the age or timber but who cares how divine will it be once I paint it. It matches the coffee table that I did in an earlier post. The upholstery on the chairs will have to go but for now the covers are fine.

Today I took a trip to Brisbane and visited the best shabby shop in town, actually there are not many around now with many of them closing over the years. This particular shope space is located within the Paddington Antique Centre Shop 41. I sell many of my pieces of furniture to the owner of this store. Just had to take some pics for you all to drool over.

How cute are these bedsides. Finished them off today for a friend. Our weather is really hot this week so can really only paint early in the morning or late in the afternoon as my shed gets way too hot. The only advantage to this is the paint dries super fast and I can usually get them finished a lot quicker.

Love to read all your blogs as you are all such talented and multiskilled gals. Just thought I would post another piece that I have finished off this morning. This is the wardrobe I got on Friday. I could not wait to get stuck into this as I just knew this would come up nice. I saw a wardrobe on ebay recently with the blue panels so I decided to do the same. Turned out very beachy and will be lovely used as a linen press, pantry or even in the kids room filled with toys. I used a vintage blue/white wallpaper to line the inside shelves which I picked up for a bargain $2 for the whole roll.

The heart did skip a little beat when I saw this divine Victoria Mirror. There was an old dear with the mirror in her hand and I was convinced she was going to buy it. But she put it down and thats when I pounced. Some of the venetian glass around the edge was coming off but I have since repaired it. Don't know a lot about the mirror so any imput would be helpful. The cherub lamp base was also a bargain market find.
