House Painting

Morning all – well the fun began yesterday painting the new house. Not an easy job in 35 degree heat in a house where the power had been disconnected so no aircon or fans. Never mind we are lucky to be given this opportunity to have early access so we are making the most of it. As you can see the walls are dark, multi-coloured blues and browns not to mention the matching awful blue carpet. We plan to paint the whole house white of course and I also started removing all the timber venetians blinds which where right through the house. Have some lovely curtains in store for this large room.

The cutting in take literally hours.

You are kidding me Sandy, no fans or air con?Argh! You are a woman on a mission!! I think someone needs to invent a roller with a cutting-in brush attachment so it can all be done in one go, what do you reckon?
Hope it all goes well and no dramas.

It will be worth all the blood sweat and tears in the end! I can already tell that this place is going to be dreamy.
    Best wishes, Natasha.

I hear you – re. the cutting in – we are doing the whole house too. It's not a fun job at all, but it has to be done. How wonderful to have early access to the house to be able to do it before moving in.

Sandy painting always seems to take so much time, blood sweat and tears too…exhausting back breaking work but hey when you are all done you will be so happy and proud of the difference it has made.
What are you replacing the timber venetians with.

I know exactly how you feel…although I'm on the tail end of repainting our entire house. But it is so worth it and I can't wait to see the after photos! Happy painting.x
