Our Pink House

I don’t think I have posted before about our cute pink house that we have in North Queensland. We purchased this house over a year ago with good intentions of moving into it one day. But its a five hour trip north and with the kids all settled here and my husband and I having good jobs I don’t think we will get to this house for some years to come. This was the sort of house that when I saw it I just had to have it and that feeling hasn’t happened yet with the hunt for a second house. This house is what is called a Queenslander here in Australia. It is a large three bedroom with two bathrooms and has great bones I would say. Yes its all pink inside and bathrooms and kitchen are going to need a makeover at some point. But for now my tenants love this house and we are happy to have them in it. It has an amzing huge backyard and the most divine black & white awning which covers the back deck. If I could only pick this house up and bring it to the Gold Coast that would be perfect. Who knows maybe some day I will have it relocated.

OMG! I love it! It would kill me to know I have a house like that and not be able to live in it, atleast you have that to look forward to! Sorry to hear that your other house fell through, but I do believe that things happen for a reason, I'm sure something nicer will pop up. Take care, Maryann

I do love Queenslanders and the fact that you can pick them up, put them on the back of a truck and relocate them is pretty amazing. You can't do that with Sydney houses. I had a Qlder when I lived in Brisbane and I think it had some pink walls too and green, and blue and lemon. You're dream home is waiting for you, hope you find it soon.
