For soaking whites (and I do a fair bit) I use 'Di-San Plus' from Aldi which I think is comparable to the Napisan soaker and a great budget conscious alternative :) I don't know how widespread Aldi is in Australia.

I think your wishes in what you want in your new home are perfectly reasonable! They are actually the same desires I had when we were looking a few years ago- Still looking for the clawfoot tub to replace the tub downstairs and my son is making me an arbor so it is all coming out in the end!
