Chair Covers

Not much blogging going on here I’m afraid. I have had back trouble for the last few weeks and have tried to slow down the furniture lifting. If your like me and decide to change things around the home it has to be done now and not when your husband gets home to help you. I knew it would catch up with me one day so I am giving my back a rest and have promised myself that I will wait for help in the future.

I have found the ultimate find. I have been looking for a french armoire for months and guess what. Cannot wait to show you when I get this beauty home.
I get many emails about my white denim chair covers. I have these covers custom made and as you would agree they dress up any old chair.

Hope you and your back are better soon. I just found a pattern/tutorial for “custom” chair cushions in an old sewing book I have.
They don’t look hard to make at all. I’m loving the ruffled skirts that yours have.
IF I ever get mine done, I’ll post some photos. Your home is beautiful! I’m thinking mine needs to look just like it! 🙂

I have had my share with lifting, and it has caused a problem with me that I didn’t realized would happen. I never was the type to wait when I needed to move anything, now I need to have this thing fixed! I do hope you get well soon.

The picture above looks so pretty, and I’m looking forward to seeing this French armoire. I’m not much on patience, and I’m getting excited seeing this piece. I loooove armoires, more details the better!

See ya soon…have a great day-

Hi Sandy, I do love these covers. Your table and chairs are just dreamy. Can’t wait to see the armoire. Take good care of your back and please do ask for help. I’m a lot older than you and am now paying for my impatience. Take care. June

Sandy, It is such a treat to come to your blog and see all of the pretty things. You have such a great talent. My friend Jacque had a Shabby Chic antique shop but has closed it and gotten a different job. I used to go browse and I would always bring home a small treasure,…I loved it. I miss being able to do that. Maybe that is another reason why I enjoy your posts so much!

I posted a tour of my new house a few posts ago. When we moved we bought a house that lends itself to the Tuscan look. But I still make it my own eclectic style in some of the rooms. I have a Victorian room and a Cottage room,…but all through the house I just have things that I like and enjoy.

My husband isn’t too much into the shabby look,…but he lets me do my own thing to a certain extent. (smile)

Well, this is all for now. Maybe someday you will come over and visit my blog.

SAndy, I understand back pain. I hope you are getting better.

Anyhoo, glad to have you back. I missed your blogging. However, you shouldn’t tease like this. Hurry with the armoire. I need inspiration.

    Toodles.

Hi–just clicked on the pic at the bottom of your post and it brought me here. I had to laugh!! YUP!! you will not keep your promise to not move things except with hubby's help. I am so like you! I have a bad si-joint (it is a pelvis-back thing) and I have to be sooooooo careful about lifting or moving. This past year I lifted a glass tabletop the wrong way and pulled a muscle and I promised (kind of) that I wouldn't lift anything or move anything that was heavy and my hubby said once a month he would help me. WELL…you know I like to experiment with a room when no one (NO ONE) is around. I will move it , and move it again. I am very careful now however….and thankfully I can slide most things. But I almost had a catastrophe when moving a dining table from my MIL's. I forgot that one of the legs is just propped–my hubby needs to do a fix job with large screws—so here I go sliding it and the whole thing nearly crashed over (and there were things on it!) and I could have wrenched my whole back trying to save it. Thankfully I didn't! YIKES!! But for some reason I will like a room one way and think I will keep it forever that way and then I get the urge to change it–why? I don't understand it?
